About Me!

Wow!  How did I get here?!  My name is Priscilla.  I’m a wife and a mother of 4  kids. I have 12 years (and counting) in law enforcement work history and I also own other businesses. I’d never have guessed that I’d be an entrepreneur in this small town! I first found my love of baking when I was in my early 20’s. I didn’t bake anything special, but I have always appreciated the artistic side of it. I never contemplated owning a bakery, but when I saw that Beth was selling, something pulled at my heart strings. I knew I wanted this! My great grandfather owned a bakery in Pensacola ages ago. There must be a deep seeded passion in our lineage. I sure hope I do him proud.

I bought Lolo’s from Beth in July 2014. Beth is the founder of Lolo’s, which is named after her daughter. Just like me, she is a self-taught cake artist with a strong religious belief that God opened every door to her. I’ve known Beth since high school, and I’m proud to call her a friend. Beth still has keys to the bakery and still helps out from time to time. She will ALWAYS be a part of Lolo’s.

The bakery is currently run by myself and my husband, Rich. Without him, I’m not sure what I’d do! Rich served our country for 21 years and is now retired. He’s also a licensed massage therapist with an upbeat attitude. He sticks with me from the time the doors open and always comes with an attitude to learn. He has become quite the master sculptor in the bakery. Quite a bit of his handy work is featured on our cakes now days.

We’ve strived to continue to run the bakery just as Beth did. We have the same principals and beliefs as to what we feel is important to run a business. We also have all the same recipes! We are slowly adding in our own recipes and more menu items in order to make it more personal to us.

We truly believe ‘without you, we are nothing’, so thank you to all the patrons of Lolo’s. We look forward to serving you!

  1. That cake was AMAZING, I’ve shown people at work pictures before, and is always the one I go to whenever someone mentions needing a cake.

Now you have to figure out how to ship those things, just so I can be lazy and eat good cake on my couch 🙂

  2. hi 🙂 your cakes are amazing! i actually had a question about how you got started- did you have to get a license or do a bunch of legal stuff to be allowed to make cakes in your own home? i’m just asking because i just started making fancy cakes for some friends and would love to do this kind of thing casually on the side, but not enough to go full time and hop through a lot of hoops and certifications and junk. But when i researched it, that’s what it sounded like :-/. you can send me a message on Facebook if you have time– if not, thanks anyway!! all your cakes are very inspiring!
